About Maxine

I’m a licensed clinical social worker offering private counselling for anxiety, depression, and life stressors, with a special focus on supporting older adults, caregivers, young adults, and individuals at every stage of life. My approach is warm, empathetic, and deeply rooted in building a strong therapeutic relationship, because I believe that feeling truly heard and understood is where healing begins.

With over 10 years of experience in both community and public healthcare settings, I bring extensive expertise in helping people navigate life’s challenges. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Toronto specializing in older adults and end-of-life care, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from McGill University. In addition to counselling, I provide psychosocial evaluations for mandates in Quebec, as well as resource management and guidance in navigating Quebec’s public sector, a process that can often feel overwhelming for families. Acting as both guide and advocate, I’m here to simplify the process, connect you with the right supports, and be your cheerleader along the way.

My career has included work in community home care, supporting families through complex healthcare systems, and my current role in a GMF clinic, where I continue to do meaningful work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Every client I work with is welcomed into a safe, judgment-free space where their experiences, challenges, and goals are met with compassion and respect. No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to walk alongside you.
